My Journey

Hi there! I’m Jahn Eiram Bontia from the Philippines. In 2010 I started my career as a working student in college. I worked with different companies locally like an Internet Cafe Attendant, Gas Pump Attendant, and as a Line Cook in a restaurant. When I stopped studying way back in 2012, I decided to learn more about the BPO industry and practiced a lot improve my communication skills and English fluency. Thankfully, after a lot of hard work, I got hired.


I started my professional career in the BPO industry in 2014, assisting different companies in the United States and the United Kingdom. I’ve worked

with:

– Verizon Wireless US: Customer Service Representative, Sales, Tech Support, and Customer Success Representative

– Virgin Mobile UK: Customer Service Representative, Sales, Tech Support, and Customer Success Representative

– Viator.com US: Sales Representative and Customer Support Representative

While I was in the BPO industry, I started my own clothing line business in 2016. I learned about Facebook Ads and had a great run for two years, with a lot of customers and sales, profiting more than 3000% of my original investment. When the trend dropped in late 2018, I didn’t dwell on it too much and just closed down my shop.

In 2019, I started learning more about the “Virtual Assistant” industry. Back then, there were no AI tools or much information on search engines like Google and YouTube. So, I bought paid courses, got certificates, and learned from experts who had been doing it for many years. After three months of preparation and studying, I passed my first interview and got hired by a Virtual Assistant Agency called “The VA Hub Inc.” They trained me further, set my standards higher, and made my perspective better. I got hired by two different clients on the same day during my first few interviews. I also got an award as the “VA of the Year” in my first year for having great quality and on-time deliverables, positive client reviews, and perfect attendance. I am really happy and grateful to Ms. Mika (Michelle Miranda) for her strict yet fair supervision, and to my previous managers, Ms. Jeri Yulo and Mr. Matt Guerrero. They are fundamental to who I am today.

" When Covid-19 affected me, I had to resign and focus on my recovery, being jobless for more than three months. Once I recovered, I started applying again and immediately got hired by multiple clients.

After being promoted multiple times to a higher level management and had enough hands-on experience in Operations and Team Management. I have decided to train people locally and build a powerhouse team of dedicated, hardworking, loyal, smart, and experienced individuals. As of October 2024, I already have 8 people working under me.

Overall, we provide excellent quality service in Media Buying (Meta, Google, Tiktok, Pinterest, & Amazon), we can also create Landing Pages, Websites, Lead Magnets, and Funnels from scratch. Additionally, we do Social Media Management, and Customer Service (Email, Phone, or Chat) for our clients.

When I first started applying for a job in the BPO industry, I failed 46 interviews! That was mainly because of my poor communication skills, English grammar, and English pronunciation and tonality. Sometimes, they gave me feedback, and I made sure to remember it and research how to improve. Other times, they didn’t give feedback at all, so I went back to the Internet to learn how to pass interviews in English. Working in an Internet Café really helped me because it gave me free access to the Internet, where I listened to many English conversations. I even used an MP3 device to download and listen to English conversations while I slept.

`` But after I got hired, I became one of the top performers and consistently earned awards for a whole year.

I received many freebies like canned foods, snacks, and even cash prizes for being one of the best in getting customer surveys. I usually got 7-22 double positive surveys daily (one for me as the agent and one for the company), while other agents got only 1-3 surveys a day, sometimes even negative ones. I can confidently say that I am really good at taking care of my clients and closing deals.I’m really proud of my journey and grateful to everyone who helped me along the way. I love what I do and I’m excited to help more clients achieve their goals!
